Providing Positive Experiences for Children
 Term 3, Part 1
>
UPDATE 23/5/19
>
Ofsted carried out a full Section 5 Inspection of Holly House in April and judged that we ‘Require Improvement’. Though it accepts that improvements were already being made following a Section 8 Inspection in September, the pace of change was too slow. The Governors, along with the Senior Leaders have planned how they can meet the challenges set out in the report and have set a timetable for improvement. If you would like to know more, please click the link below to see the full report. In due course the Head Teacher will update the plans for improvement on the website.

GENERAL NEWS
>
We are now coming to the end of the first half of the Summer Term. It has been a short term, only 4 weeks, but a lot has been achieved in this time. Some of our Year 9 pupils are already moving on to their new schools while others are still with us through to July. Some new pupils have started and seem to be settling in well. Bikeability are in school working with our KS2 pupils on cycle skills and safety. A group of Year 8/9 pupils have completed a week on the YES project at Chesterfield Fire Station. This has been very successful and a separate feature on this should appear on this website soon.  The STEM project continues to be a success with a number of pupils working on site to develop the new outdoor learning area.
