Holly House School

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)

The school RSE Policy and Overview: Relationships and Sex Education

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) involves lifelong learning about relationships, sex, sexuality, emotions, and sexual health. It supports the acquisition of information, the development of skills and the formation of positive beliefs, values and attitudes to sexual health and well-being. RHSE helps children and young people to move with confidence through puberty and adolescence and to manage their lives now and in the future.

RHSE at Holly House school is individually planned to meet the needs of each child and young person. Planning and resources are shared with parents and carers and agreed by the school's governing body.

The school use a range of resources; including the science curriculum, videos and lesson plans from different sources, matching the resources to the student age, need and understanding.

Revised curriculum and policy

We are currently revising our PHSE and RSE curriculum. The curriculum content and policy will shortly be available here. A letter will then be sent out inviting you to a consultation so that you can share your views on the revised policy.
