Holly House School

Welcome from the Head Teacher Head teacher

Welcome to Holly House School. We are a local authority, maintained special school for 7 to 14-year-olds who experience social, emotional and mental health challenges that make a mainstream school a difficult environment in which to succeed. At Holly House School we value and respect one another as a community of learners. We want our pupils to feel nurtured, cared for and happy; this we believe will enable them to become successful lifelong learners. Our purpose is to help young people back into mainstream schools; providing them with the skills needed to negotiate the many challenges life can present. We believe in and have high expectations for all of our pupils. The shared values of Relationship, Respect and Responsibility knits our community together where many hands, together reach out to offer friendship and support.   Attached to the school we are fortunate to have an outstanding residential home, providing a structured 24hr curriculum. The opportunity for an extended day, or overnight stay can be requested by any Holly House pupil. In the residential home there is time to develop interpersonal skills, build relationships and self-esteem through varied and exciting enrichment experiences within the local community.
