Keeping Children Safe at Holly House School
At Holly House School, keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do. Every member of staff has a responsibility for the pastoral care, wellbeing and safety of our pupils. Our aim is to provide a caring, supportive and safe environment where each child is valued as an individual and can learn, grow and develop to their full potential.
We know that children learn best when they feel safe, understood and included. That’s why our approach is strongly rooted in trauma‑informed practice, positive relationships and a deep understanding of our pupils’ needs.
🤝Our Safeguarding Commitment
All staff at Holly House:
- build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- are trained to notice early signs that a child may be worried or unsafe
- follow clear safeguarding and child protection procedures
- work closely with families and outside agencies to ensure every child is supported
Our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy sets out exactly what staff must do if they are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child. This includes when concerns relate to a member of staff, another adult, or anyone working with children.
If you have a concern about a child’s safety — or need to report something urgently — please contact us using the details on the right‑hand side of this page or in the website footer. We will always listen and take your concerns seriously.
👫Our Safeguarding Team
We have a dedicated group of staff who are trained to deal with safeguarding and child protection issues. They are here to support children, staff and families, and to make sure concerns are acted on quickly and appropriately.
